At the Supreme Federal Court (STF): Teresa Arruda Alvim attends the launch of the book "Studies in Honor of Minister Moreira Alves"

Teresa Arruda Alvim attended the launch of the book "Studies in Honor of Minister Moreira Alves," representing her mother, Professor Thereza Alvim, one of the coordinators of the publication. The ceremony took place at the Library of the Supreme Federal Court in Brasília last Thursday, June 25th.


Published by Editora Direito Contemporâneo , the work celebrates the legacy of Minister Moreira Alves, who passed away in 2023, and who presided over the Supreme Federal Court (STF) between 1985 and 1987 and served on the Court for 28 years. The tribute brings together doctrinal studies by various authors and highlights his contributions to Civil Law and Roman Law.


The coordination is by Moura Ribeiro, Thereza Alvim, Carlos Eduardo Maul Moreira Alves and Sônia Regina Maul Moreira Alves, with executive coordination by Ígor Martins da Cunha.


During the ceremony, Teresa gave her testimony about the work and the honoree. The event brought together names from the Supreme Court, including President Edson Fachin and ministers Luiz Fux and Gilmar Mendes, as well as retired minister Marco Aurélio Mello.
