Launch: "Precedents, Special Appeal and Extraordinary Appeal", by Teresa Arruda Alvim

On August 7th, starting at 6 PM, the launch of the 8th edition of " Precedents, Special Appeal and Extraordinary Appeal ", by Teresa Arruda Alvim and Bruno Dantas, published by Revista dos Tribunais , will take place at Livraria da Travessa in Shopping Iguatemi, at Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, 2232, Jardim Paulistano, in São Paulo.

The new edition offers a thorough and updated analysis, in light of the 2015 Code of Civil Procedure and the internal regulations of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Superior Court of Justice (STJ). Special emphasis is placed on the mechanisms for the formation and application of binding precedents and the practical challenges of their implementation.

Beyond the theoretical approach, the work examines the concrete actions of the courts and incorporates current discussions, such as the filter of relevance of the federal question. The content is aimed at lawyers, judges, members of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and legal scholars.
